      Cheer is Here and We're Practicing!

      College & Sports Academy (CSA), a program of Mutual Assistance Network (MAN) in partnership with Grant Youth Sports.

      We are NOT just a cheer program. We are a family and our motto "Pacer 4 Life" speaks volume not only in the greater Sacramento area but the Nation. We are the feeder program for Grant Union High School, so our focus is preparing our Athletes for Pacer Cheerleading and or the Pacerettes . At the same time developing young women and our future. We are apart of the Sacramento Youth Football Network where we will face the best competition in the city of Sacramento and surrounding areas. Our program is intended to teach teamwork, dedication, organization, sportsmanship, life skills, and discipline. The opportunities and memories this program provides will stay with your cheerleader for life!! GUJP cheer works as a family and takes pride in supporting one another while striving for excellence in our sport.

      TEAM FORMATION:

      The Cheer Program has five age divisions: Mighty Mites, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget and Midget. A maximum of (15) will be selected for each of the five divisions.

      CONDITIONING/CHEER CLINIC INFORMATION:

      Conditioning/off season cheer clinics will be held to select athletes for all divisions. Every effort will be made to accommodate athletes in their respective age prior to cuts. Athletes are strongly encouraged to prepare themselves for tryouts/conditioning with aerobic exercise, endurance running, and agility drills. This will quickly separate athletes from those who have not prepared themselves. Prior conditioning/cheer clinics, initial registration deposit must be paid, athlete consent and Medical Release Form must be submitted. At Final Paperwork check-in, you must provide us with the Code of Conduct signed by both parent and player, a copy of the athlete's birth certificate, and the Medical Clearance Form dated. The remaining registration balance MUST be paid in FULL before receiving uniform for the season.

      CHEER EXPECTATIONS:

      This will be a competitive program with emphasis placed on developing cheer fundamentals, promoting a passion for cheer, building confidence, developing leaders and having fun. Athletes will be expected to practice 3 days per week with games on the weekends. ALL Players will need to be EXPECTED to maintain a 2.0 GPA throughout the ENTIRE season (regular, playoffs, and championships) Players and parents alike will be required to sign a code of conduct in order to participate.

      Our first priority is the safety of your child. The best equipment available and the most qualified coaches will be apart of GUJP
